An Englishman in New Orleans
This show started out as a short video, turned into a one-off 20 minute gig at a friend's house and then into a full, one-hour stage show that played at the Shadowbox Theatre in New Orleans and then enjoyed a sell-out run at the 2011 New Orleans Fringe Festival over five days. The show is a comedy monologue with music and poetry and tells the life of Sebastian Lyme-Regis, an upper class snob from England who finds himself stranded in the wilds of New Orleans. He struggles to make sense of Bourbon Street, gumbo and the locals. Hilarity ensues. |
